CONCORD- Alice Milam Morrison, 83, 36 Georgia St., died Friday (July 30, 1999) at the Concord Nursing Center.
Born September 18, 1915, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Morrison was the daughter of the late Tina Scott Wingate and the late C.C. Wingate.
Former owner of Al-Mar Ceramics in Concord, she was a retired employee of Cannon Mills Co. Wash Cloth Department. She was a lifelong member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years.
Survivors include husband, James R. (Jack) Morrison; daughter Marcia M. Meadows, Mt. Holly; son Charles W. Morrison, Oakgrove, Ky.; sisters Colleen Andrews and Sara Hicks, both of Concord; brother Chic Wingate, Memphis, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Services: 3 p.m., today, Forest Hills United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Michael D. Kurtz and the Rev. Susan German. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis*.
Visitation: 7-9 p.m. last night, Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis.
Memorials: Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 265 Union St. North, Concord, N.C. 28025.
