Obituary

Edward B. Carpenter was born in Wayne County, Iowa, near Confidence, April 23rd, 1880, and died near Confidence, December 27, 1920, at the age o 40 years, 6 months and 3 days. He was born and raised and died at the same place, having lived there his entire life with the exception of seven years.

He was married to Icy Eliza Wright, December 25, 1905. To this union six children were born, all of whom are living. They are Clio Greg, Nolan Leslie, Elmer Burs, Mary, Mercy and Paul. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, the six children, four brothers, five sisters, innumerable relatives and friends.

On December 30, 1911 he united with the Church of Christ at Confidence where he remained a faithful member. The funeral services were held from the Church of Christ at Confidence, and his body tenderly laid to rest in the Confidence cemetery, on Wednesday, December 29, 1920.
