FRANCIS M. GUNTHER
Francis M. Gunther, 78, of Wickham, died at 10 p.m. Thursday in a local hospital after a short illness.
He was born at Hernshaw Dec. 2, 1898, a son of the late Hugh and Savanna Snodgrass Gunther.
A member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, Gunther lived most of his life in Raleigh County, and was a retired service man for the John W. Eye Co.
Survivors include two sons, Arnold, of Detroit, Mich., and Clarence, Baltimore, Md.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel, with burial following at Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral hone after 6 p.m. Saturday.
