Obituary - Harrison Teets. Preston Republican. Terra Alta, WV. Thur., Apr. 19, 1928. pg. 4

Harrison Teets was born March 19, 1849, died at his home at Mt. Dale, April 12, 1928, aged 80 years and 23 days. On Dec. 8, 1870, he was married to Florence Guthrie, who departed this life April 15, 1887. To this union were born eight children, of whom three are deceased,

On May 20, 1888, he married Virginia DeBerry. To this union were born nine children, of which three are deceased.He was converted and joined the church of the Brethren soon after his first marriage, and lived a devoted Christian life until death. As long as he was able to do so, he was a regular attendant at church services, and readily took part in worships.

He leaves to mourn their loss, a wife, eleven children, fifty-eight grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted at Mountain Dale Church by Rev. Jeremiah Thomas, after which the body was laid to rest in the Parnell Cemetery to await the Resurrection morning.
