Obituary:
Mrs. Irene Richey, 84 of Route 2 Ferris, died at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 1984 in the Ennis Community Hospital, Ennis, TX.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with the Rev. R. D. Wade officiating. Burial was in the Pine Forest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were George Meier, James Emmons, David Merchant, Garvis Anglin and R A Watkins.
She was born April 19, 1899, in Kansas, a daughter of Jim and Lottie Mae (Pontzius) Campbell. She was married to Paul Gray Richey on April 5, 1931, in Shreveport, La. He preceded her in death in 1970.
She was a member of the Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Saltillo Chapter. She is a retired registered nurse for Baylor Hospital, Dallas.
She is survived by a step-daughter, Tressie Laycock of New Smyrna Beach, Fla; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was previously married to James Will Tuttle of Kansas.
