Died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at her residence with her loving family at her side. She was born March 24, 1930, in Hardburly, Kentucky, the daughter of William Greene and Rosa Belle (Stacy) Lawson. On April 7, 1948, she married C. Eugene Gaines in London, Kentucky and he survives. Louella was an active member of North Prospect Baptist Church in Ypsilanti. She retired from Ford Motor Co, Saline Plant. She will always be remembered for being an avid reader and the love she had for her family. Surviving besides her husband include her daughter, Suzanne Gaines; 3 grandchildren: Roxanne (Brian) Gaines Katke, Erin Gaines and Scott Gaines; 5 great grandchildren: Nicholas, Victoria and Amelia Katke, Evan Alter and Bradyn Gaines; 2 sisters: Anita Cooper and Charlotte (Charles) Grigsby; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nita Jean Gaines in 1951 and her son, Don Gaines on December 19, 1995. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. At North Prospect Baptist Church with her nephew, Rev. James Blaylock, Pastor of Corrinth Baptist Church, London, Kentucky officiating. Burial will follow in Marble Park Cemetery, Milan, Michigan. The family will receive friends at Janowiak Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. And at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. Until time of service.
