Johnson, Zelma Jean Saline, MI Age 64, loving wife, mother and granny, died Saturday January 24, 2004 at her home. Zelma was born May 20, 1939 in Hardburly, KY, the daughter of William G. and Susie (Pugh) Lawson. She had been a long time Saline area resident. On June 15, 1974 she was married to Kenneth E. Johnson, and he preceded her in death on November 6, 2002. Prior to her marriage to Kenneth, she was married to Billy Joe Patrick. Survivors include son, Jerry L. (Joanne M.) Patrick; daughter, Peggy J. Patrick and her fiancee (Timothy S. Ireland); grandchildren, Allen and Jason Patrick; stepchildren, Rick Johnson and Kimberly Morton. Other survivors include step-grandchildren, Erin and Chelsea Johnson, Doug and Rick Morton; four step-great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Chester (Barbara) Lawson, Charlotte (Charles) Grigsby, Anita Cooper, Louella (Gene) Gaines, Jack (Dorothy) Lawson; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Kenneth, she was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings who loved her deeply. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday January 27, 2004 from the ROBISON-BAHNMILLER Funeral Home Saline, with Pastor Jim Blaylock officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Saline. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Breast Cancer Research Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home where friends may begin calling on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of service at 2 P.M.
