Dorothy May Knutson, 81, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away January 2, 2011. She was born May 3, 1929 to Richard and Roberta Reed in Mannsville, Oklahoma.
Dorothy enjoyed working at Tinker AFB for 22 years until retirement. She also enjoyed country and western music, going to concerts, bowling, and fishing. Dorothy loved animals. She also enjoyed watching OU football and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Knutson; 2 daughters: Rebecca Rogers and husband Kenneth, Donna Mead; 1 son, Mark Knutson and wife Mary; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Sherman Reed and wife Betty; 2 sisters: Evelyn Zahner and Kay Havens; her precious dog, Baby Boy; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Candace Rogers; brother, Donald Reed; 1st husband, LP Mead (Babe).
Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 6, 2010, at St. James Episcopal Church, located at 8400 S. Penn, Oklahoma City, OK. Inurnment will be held at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, OK.
Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
