Nancy Erbe was taken to be with her Lord and her family, on January 15, 2014. Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, William Erbe, and her parents, Welcome and Marion Erbe.

She is survived by her sister, Maryann Roope; nieces Nancy Roope, Janine Erbe Goff, Meg Greve, and nephew, Tom Roope. Nancy is also survived by life-long friends Peggy Piper and Ruth Cook. Nancy was born at Women's Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated from Albuquerque High School in its second graduating class. Nancy worked, for over 30 years, for Albuquerque National Bank in its different incarnations. The last years of her career were spent as its customer service director, a job she loved as it allowed her to help others. Nancy had numerous volunteer jobs including work with the ABWA, First United Methodist Church and President of the Presbyterian Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary. Nancy loved to travel and covered much of the United States and many European countries. She loved Lobo basketball and was a long-time season ticket holder.
She would wear her red sweater and cheer her team no matter the outcome. Nancy loved her family and she was the family photographer and biographer. Her memory of family events was amazing and she is responsible for the majority of our family's photos. Nancy was one of those people who would do anything for you if you were in need. Her family will miss her dearly but her spirit will live on in memories of her kindness and her unfailing loyalty to her family and friends. A memorial service will be held in Nancy's honor on February 10, 2014 at 2 pm at FRENCH – University Chapel
