Mrs. Roxie (Edward) Vorpahl, 77, died Wednesday, September 5, in the Guadalupe Valley Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Guadalupe County, and her home was ta 402 Tips Court.
Services were held Friday, September 7, in the Goetz Memorial Chapel under the direction of the Rev. W.A. Bartsch, of Austin. Interment was in the Post Oak Cemetery with Goetz in charge of arrangements.
Among the survivors are one son, Daniel Vorpahl, of Austin; two brothers, Joe Young, of Seguin; and Charlie Young, of San Antonio.
She is also survived by one sister, Stella Krenz, of San Antonio.
Others include some five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbears included: Eugene Vorpahl, Clive Maddox, Shorty Brown, Dale Vorpahl, Helmuth Poenitz and James Schievelbein.
