Anderson, Norma OGDEN - Norma Christensen Anderson, 72, passed away Friday, March 4, 2005, at her home. She was born April 10, 1932 in Monticello, Utah, to Ray and Olive Melissa Jarvis Christensen. She grew up and attended schools in Monticello. After leaving Monticello, she lived in Huntington, Utah for 22 years, then moved to Ogden in 1973. Norma married Jack Majors in 1950, in Monticello, they later divorced. On April 13, 1973, Norma married Calvin Oneil "Neil" Anderson, in Uintah, Utah. Norma and Neil later solemnized their marriage vows in the Ogden LDS Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as a visiting teacher, Sunday School teacher and nursery leader. She retired from the Ogden City School District Food Services. Norma enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing cards, camping, fishing, long rides in the car and going on trips. She is survived by her husband, Neil; her children, Sheryl (Edward) Murdoc k, Joan (Tom) Souza, MaryAnn (Dave) Mueller, Loraine (Henry) Rejman, Calvin (Emma) Anderson, Kidd (Bea) Majors, Jeanne (Clark) Peterson, Jacki (Robert) Christoffersen, Michael (Lorena) Anderson, Chyane Donnie Baker, Karen (Galyn) Price; 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Neldon Christensen, Sam Christensen, Dennis Christensen; and sisters, Mariam Rogers, Janis Shumway, and Cleo Stewart. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters, one son and two grandsons. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 9 at 1:00 p.m. at the Canyon Hollows Ward, 1550 Rushton Street, Ogden. Friends and family may call at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and on Wednesday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., at the church. Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of The Wastach, 1718 Combe Road. Email condolences to the family at [email protected].
