Cleo Christensen Stewart was born Feb. 16, 1937, to Ray and Olive Melissa Jarvis Christensen in Monticello.

On Nov. 26, 1956, she married Howard M. Rogers, Jr. and stayed living in Monticello. They had two children – Howard M. Rogers III and Terry Lynn Rogers.

On July 11, 1977, she married John H. Stewart and moved to Moab, Utah, where she spent the rest of her life.

Cleo was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. Her favorite ones were in Primary. She taught some of the same children three different years.

Cleo also loved to crochet. She made many blankets and other items. Her greatest joy was to give away all the things she made. It made her very happy to see the faces of those who received those items.

She is survived by her husband, John; son, Howard; daughter, Terry Lynn (Mark); three brothers; two sisters; six grandchildren; and Mark's children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; three sisters; and a son-in-law.

The family of Cleo Stewart would like to express their thanks to all the people that brought food, cards, and flowers. Also, thanks to Moab Regional Hospital and Canyonlands Care Center for all that they have done — John H. Stewart, Howard M. Rogers III and family, Mark and Terry Robinson and family.
