Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Rev. W. J. Cranford officiated, and burial was in Springhill Cemetery near Jonesboro.
Martin was setirken [sic stricken] on the job and was dead upon arrival at Ruston Hospital a few minutes later.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Clemie Martin; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean Barmore and Mrs. Bobbie Nell Knighton, both of West Monroe; two sons, Cecil E. Martin and Charlie W. Martin, both of Ruston, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Martin of West Monroe, and three brothers, Milford Martin and James Martin, both of West Monroe, and Rev. Milton Martin of Kinder, La.
