Robert and Dorcas were married in October 1772
Robert fought in the Revolutionary War. He went to Cambridge in 1775 for three months. He owned and operated a saw mill on Witches Brook where he lived for a time. He was a large land owner, who sold off the land for drink. He was always considered behind the times. He lived at 244 Silver Lake road after his marriage and had a turning mill there where he made wooden plates, bowl, trays etc. He apparently owned property on Ridge Road after 1800 but never lived there.
His mother was Elizabeth Smith.
