Rutledge -- At her home near Dover, Wednesday, Nov. 15th, of cancer, Mrs. Rosannah Rutledge, aged 61.
Mrs. Rutledge was a christian (sic) lady universally respected and highly honored by all who knew her. She came to Wabaunsee county in company with her husband and helped fight the battles of civilization incident to the life of the pioneer. She has long been a patient sufferer with cancer, and her dissolution is truly the laying down of her burden.
She was the mother of a large family, now all grown, most of whom still live in this county.
The funeral services were held Thursday, and was attended by a large and sorrowing concourse of friends.
