She is preceded in death by her parents Dovie and Leo Knox, her granddaughter Hallie Elizabeth Taylor and her twin sister Bettye George, as well as brothers Willie Knox, HB Knox, and sisters Dorothy Barker, Peggy Mattox and Doris Faye. Alma is survived by her sons Charles Marcus Taylor III and wife Linda, Steven Knox Taylor and wife Kristine. Her grandchildren Meredith and Stephen Luskey, Margaret Claire Taylor, John Knox Taylor and Ellen Kristine Taylor were the joy of her life.
A memorial service will be held at Church of the Heavenly Rest, Episcopal at 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 7th with The Reverend Luke Back officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Visitation will be at 1406 Woodland Trail after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hendrick Hospice, 1682 Hickory Street, Abilene, TX 79601, and Church of the Heavenly Rest, Episcopal, 602 Meander, Abilene, TX 79602.
