Judy Vaughan Southern Chellberg, 64, of McAlester, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, in McAlester. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester. Born Oct. 22, 1946, in McAlester, she was the daughter of Sampson and Lillian (Auston) Vaughan. She graduated from Indianola High School and then attended beautician school. She worked as a beautician in McAlester. She had a green thumb and her yards and flower gardens were beautiful. Survivors include two daughters, Kelly Crawford, of Calera, and Holly Southern, of Calera; two sons, Johnnie Chellberg and wife, Lindsey, Cabot, Ark., and Heath Chellberg and wife, Roxanne, Belleville, Ill. Also, brother, Donald Vaughan, Houston; sisters, Shirley Campbell, of Moore, Betty Schofield, of Edmond, Dale Sitter, of McAlester, and Diane Lytle, of Muskogee. And, aunts, Beatrice Vaughan and Lorene Auston, and eight grandchildren, Sarah Groves, Stephanie Belcher, Alex Cravens, Shelby Barrett, Kylie Brewer, Ella Chellberg, Malyck Chellberg and Caleb Chellberg. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Charles Vaughan and Lindy Vaughan.
