Mary Linnie was the daughter of Wiley Jackson and Lula Ellen (Lawson) Egger. She married Luther William Russell on October 18, 1927 in Rising Star, Texas.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Brownwood, Texas since 1977. She lived in Ebony, Texas for many years. Miss you every day.

They had six sons William Lee , James, Wylie "Bob", Ernest Henry, John Meek, and Jerry Gene. They also had three daughters Betty Jo, Wanda Nell, and Virginia Ann.

She is survived by 37 grandchildren, 75 great-grand children, and 14 great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her husband, mother, father and three children Ronnie Russell, Lucille and Dorthy Russell, two granddaughters, two great granddaughters, also four brothers and four sisters.

She was a lovely and very kind person and loved her family and friends very much. She will be missed by every one who knew her. She was a member of the Avenue D. Baptist Church. Her Funeral was at 2 P.M. on April 27, 2002 at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas with the Rev. Sam Tomlinson officiating.

Linnie is on the left in the picture. Her brother John and sisters May and Edna are with her. My Grandmother was strong and loving person, she made Best bread pudding my farovite, She gave best hugs and Kisses ,She made our school Clothes we all matched, Ever Grandchild got A quilt I got mine when i got married 1970. every great grandchild had quilt before they were Born. My granny showed us all so much love, She was our rock learn to Quilt and cook between Mom and Her, and many other things My Heart is filled with so many memories. She lives on in her family Heart. She Worked hard All her life never asked for much very strong . I just wish for a big hug and kiss when I see you again Granny all my love.
