William Lee Russell of Early went to be with his Lord on Monday, January 27, 2020, surrounded by family at the age of 89.

He was born on Thursday, May 8, 1930, to Luther William Russell and Mary Linnie Egger Russell in Ebony. William was a Korea Campaign War Veteran; SGT; American Veteran Life member; USA 51'-53'; 32nd Adj. 7th Army; TX-0000-BSM, PH. During his enlistment in the United States Army, he received the Korean Service Medal w/Bronze Star, UN Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Combat Infantryman Badge. He was a member of the Shriners, the D.A.V., American Legion, Masonic Lodge#807 and the V.F.W. William loved the company of his friends and family. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening and of course, his western movies.

William is survived by his daughter, Nancy Edmonds and husband Ryan of Early; son, Albert Russell and wife Cathy of Shadyside, OH; 4 brothers, Wylie R. Russell Sr., James Russell, Ernest Russell and Jerry Russell; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther William Russell and Mary Linnie Egger Russell; son Lenard H. Russell; 2 brothers, John Meek Russell and Ronnie Russell; 5 sisters, Betty Jo Russell, Virginia Ann Russell, Wanda Neil Russell, Dorothy Rose Russell and Lucille Russell. He was a hard worker all his life Love you.
