The Rev. Billy Fields of Morristown, went home to be with his Lord and was reunited with his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Sizemore Fields, Jan. 4, 2011 at the age of 84.
He was saved as a young man at Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church. He later joined Little Redeemed Primitive Baptist Church where he remained a member for life. During his ministry, he pastored at Riverside Primitive Baptist Church and Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Sneedville and Little Redeemed Primitive Baptist Church in Morristown.
He was also preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Kinsler Baldwin; father, John Baldwin and brother, Earl Baldwin.
He is survived by his daughters, Diane (Rev. Donnie) McNabb and Sue (Rev.Larry) Miller both of Russellville; four grandchildren, Michelle (Dennis) Barnes of Russellville, Eric (Michelle) Miller of Russellville, Donette (Michael) Sandifer of Morristown, and Kari (Jerry) Bledsoe of Russellville; six great-grandchildren, Hannah and Jake Barnes, Caden Miller, Michael Sandifer Jr., Adrionna and Emma Grace Kinsler; step-brother, Lionel Baldwin; a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.
The family would like to extend their appreciation and thanks to special friends Louie and Charlsie Weston and therapist Dave Howard.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, from 5 to 9 p.m. in the east chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011 at Little Redeemed Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
