Mrs. Daisy Mae Michau, widow of Eddie Jackson Michau of the Oceda section of Williamsburg County, died Sunday afternoon, July 26, 1964, in Kelly Hospital after a period of declining health.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Gourdines Chapel, officiated by the Rev. W. P. Queen. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery, directed by Williamsburg Funeral home of Kingstree.

Mrs. Michau was born May 2, 1888, in the Oceda section of Williamsburg County and spent her entire life there. She was a daughter of the late Mary Altman Ward and John Ward. (In some records, Mary Altman is said to have been Mary Marlow. Reuben Marlow was Mary's stepfather.)

Mrs. Michau was a member of Gourdines Chapel.

Surviving are: five daughters, Mrs. Odie Wilson and Mrs. Sally Lambert, both of Georgetown, Miss Leila Jane Michau, Mrs. Thelma Moore and Mrs. Jessie Moore, all of Andews; one son, Olin Michau of Andrews; 28 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Jane Bratcher of Georgetown; one half-sister, Mrs. Theodosia W. Altman of Andrews; one half-brother, Henry Emanuel Ward of Andrews, and a number of nieces and nephews.
