Florence May Jones
Mrs. Florence May Jones 71, of 451 27th, died Sunday night a St. Benedict's Hospital of natural causes.
Mrs. Jones was born 3 Mar 1899 in Jenkins, Mo., a daughter of Eli and Dora Bell Clontz Suttlemyre. In 1917 she was married to Hugh VanZandt in Cassville Mo. He died in 1928. On March 1, 1929, she was married to Charles L. Jones in Ogden. He died Nov 21, 1967.
She was a member of the 26th LDS Ward and former member of the Relief Society. She had lived in Sunset and Eden, coming to Ogden in 1939. She was a life member and past commander of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
Surviving are one son and two daughters, Richard L. Jones, Ogden, Mrs. George (Marie) Ross, Yuba City, Calif.; Mrs. Kenneth (Clara) Jacox, Plain City; 17 grandchildren, seven great -grandchildren, the following brothers and sisters: Bulo S. Suttlemyre, Clyde B. Suttlemyre, Mrs. William (Iva) Hawkins, all of Ogden; Thomas A. Suttlemyre, Cassville, Mo., Edgar Suttlemyre, Stockton, Calif.; Mrs. Claudia Burnett, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Jeanie Surrett, Red Bluff, Calif.; Mrs. E. L. (1mo) Jordan, Lancaster, Calif.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop R. Neal Ball of the 26th ward officiating.
Friends my call at the mortuary Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until services. Burial in Aultorest Memorial park.
