Hugh Elmer Van Zandt, 39, died at his residence, apartment No. 24, at 2468 Washington Avenue, Thursday night after a three months illness. He was born in Cassville, Barry County, MO. During the last two years, he had lived in Ogden and had been employed as a freight trucker by the O.U.R. & D. company. He is survived by Florence Suttlemyre Van Zandt; one daughter, Maria; one son, John Lee Van Zandt, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. T.J. Van Zandt of Ogilvy, Calif.; Mrs. S. Anderson, Mrs. Green Stephens, Mrs. Ralph Ebberts and Taylor, and Walter Van Zandt, all of Cassville, Mo. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Kirkendall mortuary chapel with the Rev. D. L. Huges of the First Christian Church officiating. the body may be viewed Saturday afternoon and evening and also on Sunday until the time of the funeral. Interment will be in the Mountain View cemetery.
