Walter G. "Buddy" Anderson, age 85, passed away on November 19, 2010, at Cox Monett Hospital in Missouri. He was born May 6, 1925, in England, Arkansas, to Vannoy and Margie Lee Moore Anderson. As a young man, Buddy served our country in the Korean War. After serving in the War, he was in a loving marriage to Dorothy Hall Anderson who was united in marriage April 23, 1949. Buddy is survived by his two daughters, Patricia Brown and Linda D. Balmas, five grandchildren, Michael Lockard, Julie Gonzalez, Trish Balmas, Amanada Balmas and Heather Balmas, seven great-grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters. He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Anderson, one great-grandson, three brothers and four sisters.
Services will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Zion United Methodist Church on Mount Tabor Road, Lonoke, arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Interment will be in Hicks Cemetery, Lonoke. A reception will be at the Fellowship Hall at Mount Zion immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the American Cancer Society.
