Frank was the 3rd born son of Elijah and Cecelia Flagg of Battle Creek. He was a boilermaker by profession, and possibly an inspiration in that regard to his younger brother Ben. He died of pneumonia associated with Tuberculosis. He is buried next to his mother, 2 brothers, a sister and brother-in-law in a grave unmarked as of 2011. He was single and Catholic. His life of faith was celebrated with a funeral Mass at St. Philips.
