Mrs. Ida Gracey Alloway, 78, widow of the late Richard L. Alloway, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Don Leabhart of Robertsdale, PA, following a two month illness. The deceased was the daughter of the late Thomas and Henrietta Sprowl Gracey and was born May 7, 1873 in Taylor Twp., Fulton County. She was united in marriage to Richard Lee Alloway on Dec. 24, 1896 at McConnellsburg, who preceded her in death in 1937. Left to mourn her loss are these children: William P. Alloway of Chambersburg, Richard M. of Wells Tannery, (Gladys) Mrs. George Moun (sic-should be Monn) of Chambersburg, (LaRue) Mrs. Clifford Leabhart, and (Alice) Mrs. Don Leabhart, both of Robertsdale. One sister, Mrs. John Krieger of Chambersburg also survives as does 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The deceased was a member of the Zion Methodist Church of Waterfall. Funeral services were held March 4 at 2:30 pm at the Center Methodist Church with Rev. Clyde Way of Everett officiating, assisted by Rev. Louis Barth of Three Springs. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.
