Thankful was baptized at the New Cambridge (Bristol) Episcopal Church 12 May 1753, dau. of Simon & Hester (Royce) Tuttle.

She married Rev. War soldier Judah Leaming, 4 Oct 1774. Abt 1798-1800 they migrated about 100 miles NW of Middletown, along the old indian trails used during the War, to Scholarie Co. NY, and settled at Gilboa.
