Rubye (sometimes listed as Ruby) Simril was the daughter of Lewis Milos Simril and Alice Houston. She was born Sept. 9, 1889 according to the family bible page, however her gravestone and that of her twin brother say Sept. 14, 1889. She was the granddaughter of Robert Eaton Simril and Annie Sallie Robinson of Newnan, Ga. She was the grandmother who help raise her granddaughter Sue Anne Eskridge Mayberry.

She was the twin sister of Richard Simril. It is listed as Ruby & Richard Simril on the family bible page, so it appears that she may have been the older twin.
