FUNERAL OF ROY ADAMS HERE AT 2 P. M. TODAY
Former Traer Man Found Dead in His Car Tuesday at St. Paul, Minnesota — Victim of Heart Attack
Oscar LeRoy (Roy) Adams, a native of the Traer community, died suddenly in St. Paul, Minnesota, Tuesday, presumably from a heart attack, He was found dead in his car. No other particulars were known here last night. The brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wilson, went to St. Paul immediately on learning of his death, and were expected home Thursday night. The body is being brought to Traer for burial. Funeral services are to be held at 2 o’clock this Friday afternoon at Boettcher’s Funeral Home, in charge of the Rev. B. T. Schwab, pastor of the Ripley Congregational church. Burial will be in the Adams family lot in West Union cemetery. Mr. Adams was 56 years old. He was born on a farm near Traer, May 20, 1884, a son of Newell Henry Adams, Civil war veteran, and Lenora Adams, deceased. He was reared to manhood here. Roy served eight years in the coast artillery of the U. S. army during and following the World war, and since that time he has been employed most of the time as an automobile salesman in Waterloo, Chicago and St. Paul. For a time, a few years ago, he was employed on the farm here by Fred Wilson. Surviving besides the sister near Traer are three other sisters. Mrs. A. W. Root and Mrs. Will Bolt, of Waterloo, and Mrs. E. B. Cutts, of Toledo, Illinois, and two brothers, Carl, of St. Paul, and the Rev. Frank D. Adams of Oak Park, Illinois
