Antonio worked for Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad for 37 years retiring as a rail supervisor and served in the United States Army in the Philippines, New Guinea, Guam, and Wake Island. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Cruz, his parents, and brothers: Juan Cruz, Ignacio Cruz, and Francisco Cruz. Survivors include his children: Antonio Cruz Jr. (Cindy) of Amarillo, TX, Euphelia Garcia (Robert) of San Antonio, TX, Evelyn Tamez of San Antonio, TX, Alfred Cruz (Rayleen) of Littleton, CO, Thelma Dopheid (James) of Converse, TX, Gilda Moore (Cameron) of Mountain City, TX, and Charles Cruz of Reno, NV, 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, sisters: Carmen Flores (Robert) of Phillips Ranch, CA, Amalia Hernandez of Apex, NC, Esther Guillen, Lucilla Alonzo, Lupe Escoto (Jesse) and Martha Loza (David) all of Amarillo, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.
