Laura Juanita "Granny Mom" Carrell, 88, of Newbern, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010 at The Highlands of Dyersburg.
She was retired as a floral designer for Newbern Florist and a member of Main Street Church of Christ.
Services were Monday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Parks Thurmon and Randy Sims officiating. Burial was in Yorkville Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Hulme and husband, Wayne, of Newbern; two sons, Lonnie Louis Carrell and Larry Mack Carrell, both of Newbern; two sisters, Florence Etta "Bug" Fultz and Edith Moore, both of Newbern; three brothers, Vernon Miller of Dyersburg, Finis Miller of Yorkville and Don Miller of Newbern; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie B. Carrell; three sisters, Demova McKeel, Edna Miller and Arthell McCann; and three brothers, Bruce Miller, Charles Miller and Billy Miller.
Pallbearers were Keith Hulme, Lonnie Louis Carrell Jr., Randy Sims, Jonathan Sims, Christopher McDonald, Joshua McDonald, Tommy McDonald and Clay Hulme.
