Lamphier, Adelbert I. was born in Crawford County, Pennsylvania, September 22, 1861 and departed this life at his home in Ferry, Michigan, August 5, 1927 at the age of 65 years, 10 months, 23 days. He was united in marriage to Effie A. Quick, October 6, 1885 who was taken from in death April 11, 1904. To this union was born five children; three sons living, Earl Lamphier, Deer Park, Washington; George Lamphier, Thomas, Michigan and Bertie of U. S. Mariens all of whom live to survive their loss. Mr. Lamphier was again united in holy wedlock December 23, 1908 to Rosa Huston and to this union was given two children, Clara and Joyce of Ferry, Michigan. Besides his companion and children he leaves to mourn their loss two sisters, Nettie Clark and Flora Carter both of Deer Park, Washington and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held from the M. E. church of Ferry, L. N. Shoemaker the pastor, officiating. Interment was made in the Ferry cemetery.
