Wenk, Joyce 79, of Shelby, passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 1999 at Lakeshore Community Hospital. She was born Aug. 9, 1920 in Ferry Township, the daughter of Adelbert and Rose (Rowe) Lamphier. She married Willis "Bud" Willard March 31, 1945. He passed away Jan. 22, 1987. She married Howard Wenk Aug. 7, 1988. He passed away March 29, 1996. She lived most of her life in Ferry Township. She was employed at Shelby State Bank where she worked as a loan officer before her retirement. She was a member of Ferry United Methodist Church. She had also been active in the Extension Club and 4-H. Survivors are her son, James (Carol) Willard of Shelby; daughter, Nancy (Frank) Pratt of Grant; grandchildren, Susan (Ron) Schmock of Muskegon, Arlene Trevino of Shelby, Mary Conkel of Montague, Shelly (Jake) Willard-Scudder of Rothbury, Matt Lawson of Shelby, Scott (Jacquie) Morden of Shallotte, N.C., and Mark Morden of Hesperia; step-children, Fred (Vicki) Wenk of Shelby, Carl (Sally) Wenk of Hart, Larry (Mary) Wenk of Shelby and Donna Berry of Fennville; step-grandchildren, Stephen Pratt , Amy Wilson, Eva (Bob) Trudell and Paul (Kristine) Pratt all of Grand Rapids. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jack Willard in 1998. Funeral services Monday, Dec. 6, 10:30 a.m. at Cooper-Harris Funeral Home, Shelby with Pastor Brad Brillhart officiating. Interment in Ferry Township Cemetery. It is suggested that memorials may be given to the Ferry United Methodist Church.
