Born June 28, 1921, south of Joplin, he had been a resident of Carterville and Webb City 22 years. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Oak Grove Baptist church and Webb City American Legion Post No. 322. He was employed 11 years by Gas Service company.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Donna Wallace; two sons, Richard Wallace and Daniel Wallace, both of the home; a daughter, Jana Wallace, of the home; three brothers, Leonard Wallace, Webb City, Gilbert Wallace, Neosho, and Robert Wallace, Joplin; a sister, Mrs. Azel Thomas, Webb City; his father, James Wallace, Webb City, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Della Lewis, Ione, Washington.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Johnston-Simpson chapel, Webb City. The Rev. Thurman Kelley and the Rev. Bill Wallace will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery, Joplin.
Pallbearers will be Travis Anderson, Leroy Chandler, Arch Simpson, Bruce Hendrickson, Wayne Bass and L.W. Bartholomew.
