Webb City, Mo. - Edith M. Thomas, 68, 3334 S. Oakland Dr., Webb City, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at an Independence hospital. Mrs. Thomas was born Dec. 16, 1910 in Newton Country. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She married Azel Thomas on March 30, 1934, in Webb City. He survives. Additional survivors include a son, Azel Thomas, Carterville, two daughters, Mrs. Helen Harris, Kansas City, and Mrs. Janie Martin, Independence; two brothers, the Rev. Gilbert Wallace, Neosho, and Leonard Wallace, Webb City, Mo., and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary with the Rev. Thurmond Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
