Because Stephen Coan was killed by a Monon train at the Harvey Stephenson crossing, the widow has been paid $1,500 damages by the road. The case was settled in court Friday.

Coan had been in Bloomington doing some trading and was on his way home when he drove on to this dangerous crossing. He was hard of hearing and was hit by the Lafayette Accommodation and almost instantly killed. Suit was afterwards brought through Miers & Corr by Thomas Minet, administrator.
