In December, 1999, a man in West Haven, CT., found Abigail's gravestone, aparently stolen and abandoned by vandals, on some vacant property he owned in the area. He looked up REDFIELD in the phone book, and contacted Mr. Scott Redfield, of Milford, CT., to see if he knew where the marker belonged. Scott Redfield, in turn, found my Redfield website on the net, and e-mailed me. While I did not have documentation on Abigail's burial site, records and grave markers show that her parents, Peleg and Sarah, are buried in the Old Cemetery north of Killingworth, CT. Scott contacted the finder, and the two of them drove to Killingworth and placed Abigail's marker next to those of her parents. A nice story with a nice "Find-A-Grave" ending.
