Mrs. Alice Orndorff, 87, who made her home with her son, Russell Orndorff of 502 East Murphy Ave., died at 6:40 a.m. Sunday in Connellsville State General Hospital, following an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 12, 1882, in Ohiopyle, a daughter of the late Samuel and Eliza Linderman Shipley. She spent all of her life in the Connellsville and Ohiopyle areas.
Surviving are three sone, Nobel of Centre County and Russell and Franklin of Connellsville and 11 grandchildren. She was the last of a family of 14. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1918; a daughter, Pearl, in 1917 and a son, Jesse in 1944.
