Eddie Jackson Michau, farmer of the Oceda section of Williamsburg County, died at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Georgetown County Memorial Hospital, following an illness of two weeks.

Funeral services were held at 11 a. m. Sunday at Gourdines Chapel Methodist Church. Officiating were the Rev. A. W. Sanders, pastor, and the Rev. Tyson Lambert. Burial was in the churchyard, directed by Mayer Funeral Home.

Mr. Michau, a native of Williamsburg County, had spent his entire life in that section, where he was a farmer. He was a son of the late John Calhoun Michau and Emma Jane Powell Michau.

He was a member of the Gourdines Chapel Methodist Church.

Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Daisy Ward; a son, Olin Michau of Andrews; six daughters, Mrs. Odie Wilson and Mrs. Sally Lambert, both of Georgetown; Mrs. Mizie Wilson, Mrs. Thelma Moore, and Mrs. Jessie Moore, all of Andrews; and Miss Leila Jane Michau of Georgetown; 26 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Oliver Michau of Lancaster; six sisters, Mrs. Etta Davis, Mrs. Minnie Johnson, Miss Sudie Michau, Miss Marjory Michau, and Mrs. Marie Thomas, all of Darlington, and Mrs. Bessie Johnson of Rock Hill.
