Belva Ross, 93, 207 East Sheridan Ave., DuBois, died Thursday at her home.
She was born Aug. 20, 1917, in Parsons, W. Va., a daughter of the late Samuel and Ida Laughtry. She was married to Hubert K. Mitchell, who preceded her in death. She was later married to John A. Ross on April 2, 1982. He survives.
She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Brockway. She made many crafts and spent many hours making gifts for friends and family.
She worked at Paris Manufacturing for many years and then retired to become a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas K. (Barbara) Mitchell of Brockway, Donald L. (Linda) Mitchell of Atlanta, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Sandra (Chuck) Donaldson of Bradenton, Fla.; a stepson, Thomas (Pam) Ross of Brockway; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a stepson, John (Barb) Ross; two sisters, Georgia Smitply and Velda Phillips; and two brothers, James H. Laughtry and a twin brother, Boyd Laughtry.
