Clarence Hall Eans, 74, of Fayetteville died May 13, 1989, at a Fayetteville hospital. He was born Feb. 6, 1915, in Griffithville, the son of Liri Thomas and Irene Holloway Eans. He was a retired mechanic, working 28 years for Phillips Motor Co. and Ivey Motor Co., and retiring in 1975. He was an Air Force veteran and a member of the VFW Jack Tidball Post and Central Christian Church. Survivors include his widow, Pauline Thornsberry Eans of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Durning of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mrs. Tressie Horrell of Little Rock and Mrs. Hilda Blackwood of Griffithville.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday, May 15, at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville with burial in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
