Son of Christian Baker (1816-1896) & Anna Martha Baumgarten (1815-1880). Husband to 1st wife, Harriet L. Hartsell-Baker (1852-1880)... who died from childbirth complications. Together they had 1 known daughter, Anna Martha (1867-1929) and 4 known sons, William H., George Calvin, John Roy, and Leslie Eugene Baker. Husband to 2nd wife, Lucinda Belle Whetstine-Baker (1866-1925). Together they had 3 daughters... Louise Belle, Eileen Nellie, and Josephine Baker; 8 sons... Joseph Curtis, Alonzo D., Thomas James, Leonard, Clement "Clem", Charles, Addison, and Harold Benjamin Baker. Joseph died while in the Soldier's Home in Denver, Colorado. His body was transferred back to Adams, Brighton County, Colorado for burial in Elmwood Cemetery next to his 2nd wife... Lucinda.
