Tom Pritchard, 102, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at his residence in Hamlin.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the First Baptist Church and burial in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.

Tom was born January 1, 1908 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Wylie Jordan and Mattie (Wilson) Pritchard. They moved to McCaulley in a covered wagon when he was eight years old. He married Lillie May Helms on March 14, 1926 at Dovie and they moved to Hamlin. He later married Gladys Henderson in Aspermont in 1968. Tom was an owner and truck driver for Tom Pritchard and Sons. Tom loved to work and enjoyed fishing and keeping his yard.

He is preceded in death by both of his wives; two sons, Leroy and Jerry Pritchard; a grandson, Roy Pritchard; and nine brothers and sisters.

Tom is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Earl and Dorothy Pritchard of Hamlin and Coye and Glenda Pritchard of Hamlin; a daughter and son-in-law, Joye and Dell Ray Helms of Rough Creek; a brother and sister-in-law, Reese and Thelma Pritchard of Anton, TX; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
