Mrs. L.K. Bingham died Monday night at 10 o'clock, after a long illness. She had been sick for over two years and the end was not unexpected. The funeral occured Wednesday from the Methodist Church, Rev. W.T. Maulpin, of the Christian Church, having charge of the services. The pallbearers were; N.L. Eggleston, C.W. Stephenson, Jule Gunter, W.F. Williams, R.M. and T.T. Johnson. The casket was almost concealed under the beautiful floral tributes from the friends of the family. Rev. Maulpin delivered a beautiful address, commending the father and children to the care of a merciful maker. The remains were laid to rest in the Minco cemetery, the funeral cortege being one of the longest ever seen in Minco.
A husband and three children are left to mourn her loss.
Mrs. Bingham was the daughter of W.G. Williams, and had lived all her life in Minco and vicinity. She was a true Christian woman and devoted mother. As a neigbor she was the first to offer her services in times of sickness and distress and a kinder hearted and more charitable woman never lived. Her loss is deeply and sincerely morned by our people who knew her so long and loved her so well, and the Minstrel but voices the kind thoughts of the entire community when it extends to the stricken husband and children the deepest sympathy.
