CROSBY — Carol Jane Biever, age 75, of Crosby, died on Dec. 27, 2010, at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby. She was born on Dec. 19, 1935, in Crosby to Carl and Floryce (Andrews) Bjerkness. She married Thomas Albert Biever on July 7, 1953, in Crosby. Carol was a retired paraprofessional at CRES with 22 years of service. She was a member of the Cascade United Methodist Church, Deerwood, and was a past Ironton Library board member.
Survivors include her husband, Tom; two sons, Sidney (Lynn) Biever, of Brainerd, and Brian (Kathy) Biever, of Deerwood; one daughter, Sandra (Lyle) Dugas, of Silver Bay; two brothers, Dale (Clarice) Bjerkness, of Deerwood, and Pedar (Kathy) Bjerkness, of Hazen, N.D.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; four brothers, Donald, Kenneth, Carl and Richard Bjerkness; five sisters, Shirley Wahlers, Jean Monagan, Phyllis Enemark, Mary Jenkins and Nancy Dahnke; and one great-grandchild, Hunter Biever.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby.
Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Wednesday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday one hour prior to the services at the church.
