HERBERT W. FARLEY, 69, of Southaven, retired department head for Continental Baking Co., after 19 years, and retired Air Force master sergeant after 23 years, died of pneumonia Saturday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven with burial in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens. He was a member of Past Road Baptist Church in Gulfport, Miss., Sam Davis Lodge 661 in Smyrna, Tenn., a Mason and attended Southaven First Baptist Church. Mr. Farley, the husband of Peggy Jones Farley, also leaves a daughter, Beth K. Smith of Olive Branch, Miss.; a son, Mark S. Farley of St. Louis; a sister, Sue Price of Florence, Ala.; a brother, Hoyt Farley of Blytheville, Ark, and six grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Southaven First Baptist Church World Mission Fund or Alzheimer's Association. (Published in The Commercial Appeal 3/29/1999)
