Robert Brooks, Jr., age 67, of Westville, passed away December 25, 2010 at his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born on June 5, 1943 in Gary, IN to Robert and Helen (nee Glumac) Brooks.
Bob worked for Ford Motor Co. and Preferred Auto Body through the years. In his spare time, he enjoyed archery, hunting and fishing.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Brooks, Sr.
He is survived by companion, Carol Brooks of Westville; mother, Helen Brooks of Monticello; son, Brian of IL, Richard Hulse of Hobart, and Michael Brecheill of Lake Station; daughters: Lisa of FL, Annemarie of Lake Station, and Wendy of Lake Station, Shawn (Michael) Mackay of MI, Christine Godby of Wanatah, and Michelle Raub of Hanna; brother, Michael (Carol) Brooks of Portage, Marsha (Dave) Flanders of Monticello and Terry (Julian) Cardona of TX. He also had 14 loving grandchildren; nine loving great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the Kraft Funeral Home, 370 N. County Line Road, Hobart, IN. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Memorials for Robert may be made to the family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Frazier Funeral Home of DeMotte in charge of arrangements.
