BLANCHE DAVIS
HOBBS--Blanche "Granny" Davis, 93, of Hobbs, died Saturday (June 11, 1994). Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Landmark Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis McKinley of Landmark Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Carlsbad Cemetery.
Arrangements are being made by Denton-Funchess Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis was born Feb. 18, 1901, in Gail, Texas. She was raised in West Texas, and married Joe C. Davis in 1917. The couple moved to Carlsbad in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Due to poor health, Mrs. Davis moved back to Hobbs to live with her daughter. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Martha Mullins, of Tatum and Judy DeMoss, of Hobbs; 12 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 48 great-great-grandchildren.
Johnnie Davis, Chet DeMoss, Larry Craven, Danny Mullins, Jay Mullins, Jimmie Campbell, Elvin Allen, Larry Griffin, Patrick Homer and Richard Norman are scheduled to serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Services, P.O. Box 249, Hobbs, N.M., 88240.
