Services for Maud C. Davidson, 2002 Westridge Dr., is to be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the West Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rockwell Smith, a retired Methodist minister, officiating. Burial is to be in Carlsbad Cemetery. She died April 23.

Pallbearers include John Ballew, Harper Caldwell, Jack Carothers, George S. Davidson and Walter Biebelle.

She was born April 3, 1891 in Haskell County, Texas, where she was raised and educated. She received her degree in teaching from North Texas Normal School, Denton, Texas. She married the late James G. Davidson on Oct. 23, 1923, in San Angelo, Texas. Before moving to Carlsbad they had ranching interests in West Texas. In 1946 they acquired the Billy Ward Ranch. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Thomas Jefferson Chapter of the DAR in Carlsbad.

Survivors include two sons, Jim G. Davidson, Carlsbad, and Dan Davidson, Leander, Texas; two sisters, Alice McWhorter, Grand Prairie, Texas, and, Leila Christopher, Dallas; two nieces, both of Carlsbad; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
