Catherine Lee Bolton went into the presence of the King of kings and Lord of lords on Saturday, 11 Sept 10. She was a resident of Manakin-Sabot, Va. Cathy was born in Lake Wales, Fla on 12 Jan 63. She attended local schools and earned her BSN from Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg, Va. Before she became sick with Cancer, she took her daughter Kara to The Cincinnati Childrens Hospital to receive treatment for her illness. She is survived by her husband, James L. Bolton; and three daughters, Kayla, Kendra and Kara; a sister, Patricia Corso Blasingame of Memphis, Tenn.; and her mother, Marie B. Corso of Richmond, Va. She was preceded in death by her father, John M. Corso. Cathy was employed over 20 years by Henrico Doctors' Hospital, Richmond, Va., in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. She also worked in the Pediatric Department of the hospital earlier in her nursing career. Cathy worshipped at Salem Baptist Church in Goochland, Va. She was a strong supporter and fund-raiser for Salem Christian School, Crozier, Va., spearheading a yearly dinner auction for the school's benefit. A gathering of friends and family, with viewing, will be held at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen, Va., Wednesday, September 15, from 6 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at West End Assembly of God, 401 North Parham Road, Richmond, Va., Thursday, September 16 at 1 p.m. Mrs. Bolton will be buried in Harrisonburg, Va., with a graveside service in Greenmount Church Cemetery, at 1100 hrs, Friday, 17 Sept 10. Her family is thankful to Cathy's friends, associates, and medical professionals who were so generous, caring, and faithful during her battle with cancer. Special thanks to Henrico Doctors' Hospital, Barbara Hammond's School of Dance, Goochland Christian Fellowship, Salem Christian School, Salem Baptist Church, and a small group called His Needs/Her Needs. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Bolton Girls' Educational Fund.
